Mrs Joyce Gifty Otchere (Acting Principal) of Nursing and Midwifery Training college, Kokofu. Mrs Otchere has been dedicated to her profession for the past years. A call to serve her nation with all the passion she possesses.

Mrs Otchere obtained her General Certificate Examination (GCE)’O’ Level at Presbyterian Scondary School. Anum in the Eastern Region of Ghana from 1987-1992. She then gained admission into Nursing Training College, Koforidua and obtained a certificate as a State Registered Nurse (SRN) in 1997. She worked at Koforidua Central Hospital, St Dominic hospital, Kade Government hospital, Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital. Mrs Otchere gained admission to Midwifery Training College in (2000-2001) and obtained certificate in Midwifery, State Registered Midwife (SRM). Following completion, she returned to Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital for a year and was later transferred to Juaso District hospital in the Ashanti Region. Her eagerness to build her professional capacity and growth gained her admission to pursue BSc Nursing at University of Cape Coast (2007-2010). After a successful completion, she worked with the first Principal Miss Joyce Esi Assan to establish St Michael’s Midwifery Training College at Pramso in the Ashanti Region. Her interest as an educationist and to enhance her teaching skills encouraged her to pursue Diploma in Education at the University of Education, Winneba (2012-2014).

 Mrs Otchere is highly knowledgeable and endowed with a lot of practical experiences. As a goal getter, Mrs Otchere went back to School of Public Health, KNUST, Kumasi in 2014 and obtained Master of Public Health with specialty in Population and Reproductive Health.

With the need to hit the pinnacle of her professional career and to meet the global trend in education that would improve learning and better meet the needs of her students, parents and co educators; she further enrolled in the Faculty of Educational Studies at KNUST, where she obtained Master of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Innovative Science in 2021.

Mrs Joyce Gifty Otchere is married with four children. She is a dynamic team player, a unifier who is affable with excellent communication and leadership skills.
